The embattled Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu made this known in an interview with the BBC (Hausa service) monitored in Jos, Plateau State. I
He said such money recovered from looters and other crimes committed are banked and declared funds of the FG after full investigations.
According to him, what appears worrisome in the ongoing war on corruption is the presence of corrupt individuals in government at all levels in country.
Such people said are frustrating “all meaningful efforts in the ongoing crusade against corrupt Nigerians with their collaborators who enjoyed spending loots“
What is encouraging however he noted is “ support and encouragement the commission enjoyed from the president personally“, he explained.
On the activities of whistle lowers in the country which is aimed at ensuring mass participation in the war, magu explained that over 10 billion looted was recovered and several cars too.
He noted that party affiliation shouldn’t have any bearing on who steals what or who is standing trial on corruption charges.
Magu therefore, advised Nigerian masses to continue their support and prayers for the current government to suceed.
