The Zazzau Emirate Council in Kaduna State has offered special prayers for the quick recovery of President Muhamadu Buhari and his safe return back home.
The prayer session was organized at the palace of the Emir of Zazzau, Dr Shehu Idris in Zaria City.
The Chief Imam of Zaria, Malam Dalhatu Kasimu, prayed God to grant the president quick recovery.
“Almighty God, we have neither power nor might except what you have bestowed on us. We pray for quick recovery of our president and peaceful co-existence in Nigeria,’’ he prayed.
The prayer session was fully attended by both Islamic and Christian leaders which include Bishop Ali Buba Lamido of Anglican Diocese of Wusasa who led many Bishops.
In his remarks, Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State thanked the emirate for what he described as a good foresight.
El-Rufa’i, who was represented by Alhaji Shehu Bala, the state’s Commissioner for Stakeholders Relations, urged other traditional institutions to emulate Zazzau emirate gesture.
In his remarks, the Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris directed all Juma’at Mosques in the emirate to pray for the president and for peace to prevail in Nigeria.
He appealled to Nigerian to leave peacefully with one another for the growth and development of the country.
