…Yobe to assess situation

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Admiral Ola Sa’ad Ibrahim was today in  Yobe states for an on the spot assessment of the security situations wath a view proffering solutions.
Addressing officers and men of the military Joint Task Force (JTF) in Damaturu the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ola Sa’ad Abubakar said the military has made sacrifices that will end the incessant cases of terrorists’ attacks within the affected areas.
The officers and men he stressed have exhibed high sense of professionalism over the years pointing out that history will continue to remember them for their sacrifices.
While congratulating the officers and men of the JTF over its gallantry, he thanked them for the selfless service to their fatherland and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Speaking to news men after the address the CDS said the war against the insurgents has already been won and with the efforts the Task Force was making, all these challenges will soon be over.
He said with the support of the governor Gaidam and the residents, the case of the insurgents will soon be a thing of the past and urged the people to recognise the good works the officers and men of the JTF were doing towards the return of peace in the state formaly known for peace.
He said Nigeria was relating with neighbouring countries like Chad, Cameroon and Niger republic with a view to ending terrorism.
