Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) Kaduna State Chapter, said they would continue to demand for the rights  of workers in the midst of blackmail and intimidation in the state.
In a statement signed by NLC Chairman Comrade Adamu Ango and TUC’s Comrade Shehu Mohammad made available to newsmen in the state said, no amount of campaign of collumny from any quarters would deter the leadership of the unions from demanding for its rights and the rights of workers in the state.
According to them, the demand for workers’ to indicate their choice to belong to the union or not is tantamount to an infringement on their fundamental humân rights.
They maintained that the union membership is a constitutional issue which is above the jurisdiction of any state government, saying that, labour unions would resist any attempt to polarize and create disharmoney among it members.
It advised workers in the state to remain resolute and be law abiding while conducting their duties.
They also urged the state governemnt to publish the names of those workers that they are aiding and the ghost workers in the state, and to also make same available to NLC, TUC Kaduna State councils for necessary action.
Hence colossal amount of five million naira per months is big enough to assist the government in its developmental progarmmes in the state.
