New National Chairman of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON), HIS Royal Majesty, Owong Effiong Archianga has said that he will run an open door administration to ensure transparency in governance.
Archianga who spoke when he formally assumed office as the new national chairman of the body at TROMPCON secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers state yesterday, said he will word hard to advance the frontiers of development in member’s communities.
The monarch who is also the chairman of Akwa Ibom state council of chiefs and paramount ruler of Ibeno local government area of the state equally promised to create and sustain progressive policies of the organisation.
Calling for support from members to his administration, he said, “A tree cannot make a forest. No man has a monopoly of knowledge. I call on all past and serving executive members to help move TROMPCON to greater heights. I and my team shall tap from your rich experiences because experience is the best teacher. Nevertheless, I promise to create and sustain open and inclusive administration policy during my tenure.”
The royal father lauded what he described as “the commitment and selfless sacrifices of his predecessor’s executive council, particularly Eze Ikegwuruka for masterminding such feats despite multiple challenges and economic recession.”
Speaking at the event, the immediate past national chairman, Paramount Ruler of Mgbirichi/Abakuru Land, His Majesty Eze Akuwueze Raphael Ikegwuruka, described Dr. Archianga as a worthy successor and urged the incoming executive council to work hard in ensuring that the progress made by past administration is consolidated upon.
He prayed for God’s guidance over the new leadership and promising that he would continue to contribute his quota to the growth of the association.
The ceremony was witnessed by several Traditional Rulers from different communities within the region.
