Southern Kaduna Killings Senseless, Inhuman – Bishop Wale Oke

Deputy President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, has described bloody attacks across the country with reference to Southern Kaduna as senseless, inhuman and uncalled for.

He said the leadership of the Fellowship visited the area to commiserate with people and donated relief materials worth over N15million to communities affected by recent attacks for onward distribution to survivals of the attacks.

The communities that benefited from the gesture included, ungwuan Fari, Goska, Dangoma, Godogodo and Attakar in Jema’a and Kaura local government areas.

Presenting the materials to beneficiaries Friday on behalf of PFN President, Reverend Felix Omubede, Bishop Oke said the aim of the visit was to commiserate and sympathise with the people over the losses they suffered to the attacks and appealed to relevance stakeholders not to relent in their bid to restore absolute peace to the troubled communities while prayers is intensified. 

According to him, “The killings is senseless and inhuman. We urge government not to rest in its pursuit to bringing perpetrators of the dastardly acts to book.

“It is the duty of any responsible government to protect the lives and property of its citizens across the country especially in Southern Kaduna,” said the clergy.

In their various responses after receiving the items which 350 bags of maize, 1060 cartons of muddles, 200 bags of rice, 70 bags of Garri, 500 pieces of wrapper, 58 gallons of Palm oil, 10 cartons of soap and 148 packs of detergents, the traditional rulers expressed their happiness over the demonstration of love showered on them by PFN.

The Tum Nikyob, Kaninkon Chiefdom, Mallam Tanko Tete, applauded PFN for its continuous prayers for Southern Kaduna, “We will covet your prayers to action so that our people who still fear to go back to their farms will do so,” he explained.

Also, Mallam Mamuda Suleiman, Hakimin Dangoma in Kaninkon Chiefdom in Jema’a local government expressed satisfaction over the materials brought to the community, saying, “PFN has shown it’s concern without any form of discrimination to the entire affected community.”

Also, members of the communities who spoke on individual basis commended the efforts of PFN over what they described as overwhelming.
