Shema donates 4 vehicles to Katsina NSCDC

Katsina State Government has donated four new Toyota vehicles to the state command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enhance its operations.
The state Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema donated the vehicles after a courtesy call by the new commandant of the corp in the state, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Maizabura at government house noted that proactive policing is key to the prevention of crimes in any society.
He opined that all hands must be on deck to ensure that criminals’ locations are tracked and their sources of getting arms tracked to create a crime free society.
Alhaji Ibrahim Shema assured that his administration would continue to do its best to improve the quality of people’s lives, urging the NSCDC to collaborate with other security outfits for easy discharge of their duties.
The governor further noted that the current state administration masterminded the establishment of the first college of Peace and Disaster Management in Africa with provision of state of the art facilities for effective training of officers within the state, country and beyond.
He assured of continued support and assistance from the administration to the NSCDC and commended the former state Commandant, Dr. Haruna Balarabe for his contributions towards the development of the college.
Earlier, during the donation, the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Sani Hamisu Makana said the vehicles were part of the state support to the corps for effective discharge of their duties.
Alhaji Sani Makana noted that the state government had since inception been magnanimous to all security outfits in improving their logistics.
During the courtesy call, the new Commandant NSCDC, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Maizabura paid glowing tribute to the current state administration for its tremendous support to the corp and the College Of Peace and Disaster Management.
Alhaji Musa Maizabura acknowledged the former state commandant of the corps, Dr. Haruna Balarabe due to his outstanding conduct and success which he attributed to government intervention.
He however called for support in the area of logistics and provision of offices.
