Journalists in Plateau State say they are not happy over what they term “ fake promise” by ‎the Governor Simon Bako Lalong on quarterly briefing in a bid run a transparent administration.

Governor Lalong had earlier told the members of Nigeran Union of Journalist (NUJ) through the state commissioner for Information, Nazeef Mohammed that  “the quarterly briefing will be done by the governor himself“.
Investigation carried out indicated that the failure of the APC government to face the members of NUJ in the state may not be unconnected with the alleged dismal performance of the regime.
For now, the state government has not been able to hold the monthly press briefing started by the government last year by the administration.
Journalist in the state contended that the inability of the regime to be accountable to the electorate is an abuse of the Democratic process by the governor.
They therefore advised the regime to put it’s house together so that they can face press in a bid to be accountable to the electorate in the state.
However, the inability of Plateau State Government under the administration of Governor Simon Bako Lalong has been described ” as an abuse of democratic process that brought him to power”.
Former Chief of Staff to Governor Joshua Chibi Dariye, Alexander  ‎Wmolwus castigated the government over the election in the 17 local government area in the state
He said the government is afraid because “ they lack grass roots support of the people “.
