Oyo; Students to get 2 year ban over exam malpractice
BAYO AKAMO, Ibadan
Oyo State Government is now set to ban any student caught in examination malpractices from writing any public examination in the state for two years
The Permanent Secretary in the state ministry of education, Mrs. Adejoke Makanjuola dropped this hint in Ibadan while speaking with journalists in her office shortly after releasing a circular on curbing examination in the state.
She pointed out that henceforth all students in the state are expected to write their West African Examination (WAEC) examinations in the same school they finished their secondary education, as government will not hesitate to sanction students found disobeying government orders.
The Permanent Secretary then warned teachers involve in examination malpractices to desist from such or be demoted and if necessary sacked.
Mrs Makanjuola however urged parents in the state to monitor their children and be alive to their responsibilities.
