Over 1000 Youth Pledge To Quit Drugs Abuse In Zaria

About 1,000 youths who engaged themselves in drug addiction have pledged not to continue with this act and promised to be of good behavior in the society.

The youth made their stand shortly after the orientation and counseling on the danger of drug abuse organized by Honourable Suleiman Mohammed Mijinyawa at Unguwar Kaura, Zaria City on Saturday.

Yunusa Zeze of Babban Dodo and Shehu Shahada’u of Unguwan Magajiya are among the leaders of the drug addicted groups advised their fellow youth to return to their senses and make themselves useful to the society.

They said, drug abuse will only help them to make their lives useless nothing more than, because there is no gain value on it.

While believing that, every society are progressing at all levels with their youths as examples, this made them to think twice and find a better alternative to their lives and their communities.

Also, the two speakers that spoke to these repentant youth, Malam Musa Madina and Malam Nura Yusuf advised the youths to see themselves as leaders of tomorrow by becoming a very good example on behaviours activities.

They explained confidence that, with the orientation and counseling programme by Honourable Suleiman Mohammed Mijinyawa a positive change will show in Zaria Local Government by the youths who repented.

In his remarks, Honourable Suleiman Mohammed Mijinyawa, assured the youths of his readiness to assist and support them through their chosen careers.

Mijiyawa also said, he will continue to organize this kind of programme from time to time until all the youths in Zaria Local Government become a drug free society.

He called on wealthy individuals to do something like this to youths in their respective communities for the society to have a sense of direction particularly the youths.
