Osinbajo, Amosun Task New Akarigbo On Unity

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi  Osinbajo as well as the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun have tasked Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the new Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, to foster peace and unity in the Land.

Osinbajo in his remarks at the official installation of the new monarch at the Gateway Stadium, Sagamu charged him to ensure that all sons and daughters of Remoland were united while he prayed that his reign would be a blessing to all.

Presenting the Staff and instrument of Office to the monarch, Governor Ibikunle Amosun admonished the monarch to do all within his power to use his reign to entrench harmony, tranquillity of Remoland as well as facilitate more developments in the area for the benefit of his people.

Amosun advised Oba Adewale Ajayi to work hand-in-hand with other traditional rulers in his domain and across the state to consolidate on the developments already in place in the State to justify the confidence reposed in him by his people and government.

The Governor also challenged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in administering Remo monarchy while commending the unique election process that led to the emergence of the Akarigbo , describing it as thorough and democratic.

In his acceptance speech, the new Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi appreciated the state government for its role in the processes leading to his emergence, saying it reflected the thoroughness and fairness of the present administration in matters that pertained to leadership and the people.

The Monarch who also commended the people of Remoland for the love and affection showered on him posited that more monumental developments of the area could be attained if there was unity amongst the people, calling on them to jointly move the Land to the next level.
