Ofoboche; My Husband Didn’t Die In London – Wife

Mrs. Juliana Offoboche, the wife of late former second republic Deputy Governor of Cross River States, Mr Mathias Offoboche said contrary to media reports, her husband did not die in London, but here in Nigeria.
“My husband did not die in London hospital as earlier reported by some social media network. Who took him there? Did they take him there? I am presently in his house in Abuja, devastated. Surely, we will get back to you, she said.”
Offoboche who served under the late governor of the state, Chief Clement Isong, died on October 25, 2015.
She however declined to give further details on the cause of his death, except that her husband often had some health challenges since August 2015. “Yes, it is true. He often gave us some premonition of his death. He would urge us to hurry up to complete any task he wanted done by jokingly telling us to hurry up, I may not be here” she stressed
Offoboche, until his death was a PDP Chieftain. Head spear headed the campaigning for the creation of Ogoja State and power shift to the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State.
He was a Specialist Gynecologist. He studied Medicine in Dublin and did Postgraduate course in the Royal College of Physicians, London.
He was a Specialist Obstetrician Gynecologist, a politician and an Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
He often advocated that no war against malaria could be successful without malaria vector control.
