Five months old Bityong Corner Stone Football Academy, Kaura, have emerged champions of the 2017 Kaduna Pre Season Tournament after beating Kaduna United Football Club 1-0 in the final played at the Kaduna Township Stadium, on Saturday.
Chairman of the Academy Honourable Bityong Yakubu Nkom who spoke with journalists after the game said that the academy is in high spirit after defeating Kaduna United Football Club.
Bityong said that sports is one of the ways in which he wishes to build the youth especially the less privileged among them, saying that the boys have made name for themselves.
He added that the academy is just five months old, yet it is blessed with talented players.
He charged the boys to always be dedicated, pointing out that they should not see the trophy as all that is needed.
Coach of the Bityong Football Academy, Mr Jeremiah Uyit Rashidi thanked God for the victory over Kaduna United Football Club, describing it as an act of God.
Rashidi, who is also the FA Zone 3, Kaduna State Chairman, said that his boys can beat any club they come across, saying that one day his boys will play at the national level.
He expressed hope to advance his coaching career.
