Operatives of the Neighbourhood Enlightenment and Safety Organisation (NESO) achieved a major feat by apprehending three wanted Boko Haram suspects in Abuja on Thursday.
Corps Commandant General (CCG), Sani Aliyu disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen at the closing ceremony and passing out parade of the organisation’s 2017 recruitment, held at the IIA School of Preliminary Studies, Madalla, near Abuja  on Saturday.
The CCG said that the suspects were apprehended in Gwarinpa axis of Abuja and have since been handed over to law enforcement agents.
“We have names of those Boko Haram members on the wanted list and we fished them out,” he explained.
Speaking further, he said that in Niger State, NESO has also busted no fewer than 200 cattle rustlers who have also been handed over to security agencies.
He said that with the achievements recorded so far, the governments at all tiers would benefit immensely if they partnered his organization in terms of intelligence gathering and policing the borders of communities and Nigeria.

Aliyu emphasized that his organization is affiliated to Borderpol an international agency, while disclosing that there are arrangements to procure latest technology that would further assist in checking criminal activities.
While administering the oath of allegiance, the Chairman of the Governing Board of NESO, Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar  said that even without receiving funding from any source, they have taxed themselves and achieved a lot.
“We appeal to all tiers of government, corporate organizations and public spirited individuals to support us so that we can do more by providing information to security agencies,” Etsu Nupe who was represented by Prince Emmanuel Andong stressed.
The colourful passing out parade featured other side attractions like marshal arts display and other entertaining  drills.
The organization boasts of over 70,000 personnel all over Nigeria.
