Kaduna State House Assembly yesterday directed its various committees to review the 2012 budget implementation of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDA) in the State.
The resolution was reached following a motion by the Chairman, House committee on Health. Alh Usman Adamu seeking the house to review the level of 2012 the Implementation of budget by the agencies.
Sponsoring the motion, Alh Shehu Adamu said there was need for all committees of the House to move to ministries to investigate the level of budget implementation.
Adamu stated that the year was coming to an end saying, “the appropriation bill would be brought to the house; therefore there is a need for the house to review the level of implementations of the current year’s budget in the state. I believe this will give us a better understanding on how to work on the year 2013 budget estimate,” he said.
He urged the House to be mindful of expenditure which would soon commence in 2013.
Alh Mohammed Ali, member representing Kawo while making his own contribution stated that “He who fails to plan will certainly fail” and called for checking of the implementation.

The Majority Leader, Mr David Umar however, called for a holistic approach to the review which he said would assist in the implementation of 2013 budget in the state.
It would be recalled that about 10 month ago, the House unanimously approved the estimate of the State Government for 2012 Financial year of the sum of one hundred and fifty Nine Billion, three Hundred and forty seven Million, Nine hundred and thirty seven thousand, one Hundred and forty five Naira.
