KASTELEA Holds Sensitization Lectures For NB Drivers

In its bids to ensure strict adherence to Traffic laws and continues hygienic operations, the Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kakuri and Kudenda branches all in Kaduna State has organized a one day sensitization workshop for its drivers anchored by the Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Laws Enforcement Agency (KASTELEA).
Speaking at the sensitization workshop, the Assistant General Manager zone 10, AGM Mindy Ungbo charged drivers on obedience of the law.
According to him, “the agency is there for enforcement of road vehicular laws and drivers must do the right thing to avoid embarrassment stressing that on no account should a driver engage in resisting arrest or result to fighting the of Marshals on duty.
Mr Ungbo who admonished drivers to also study and have a mastery of the high way signs for their safety and the safety of other commuters, also commended the Management of Nigerian Brewery Staff for good driving conducts so far.
On taking monies in Cash, Ungbo maintained that KASTELEA Marshals are to only issue tellers for bank payment after booking any driver for any offence, stressing that the public can report any cases of misbehavior of officers and men of the agency to the AGMs or any higher authority.
Earlier the KASTELEA delegation from the Head office who championed the sanitation workshop stressed that the Agency was set up in 2014 under the Alhaji Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero’s Government, to take charge of Traffic and environmental issues, which was however reviewed for
effective delivery by the Mallam Ahmad Nasiru El-Rufai’s Government.
Spokesman of the delegation Chief Marshal Zacks Gambo also revealed that the agency does not have the mandate to produce vehicle particulars and drivers’ licenses, but the mandate to enforce, which means checking of vehicle particulars and drivers’ license and booking offenders.
Also speaking at the Sensitization workshop, the Public Affairs Manager North, Nigerian Breweries Mr. Danjuma John-Ekele who drummed support for professionalism amongst drivers, thanked the KASTELEA Marshalls for their  doggedness in maintaining a clementine traffic atmosphere for businesses to strive.
Ekele who also stressed the need for continuous partnership with KASTELEA maintained that such sensitization and familiarizations are key for mutual cum bilateral relations saying Nigerian Breweries will continue to lead the campaigns for safer roads and hygienic environment in the country.
The event was grace by key stakeholders, Managers of Logistics, Human Resources, Public Affairs, Security Chief and drivers of the Nigerian Breweries.
