Kaduna Football Family Backs Mutunchi Academy As It Marks 10th Anniversary

The big boys of the Kaduna Football Family all filed out in honour of Mutunchi Football Academy, Kaduna, as it marked its 10th anniversary celebrations on Saturday at the Royal Blue Hotel.
The roll call included the states Football Association Chairman, Honourable Sheriff Al-Qassim, Secretary to the FA, Alhaji Abdussalam Jere, Chairman of Ganet Academy, Engineer Gana Sawa, Hon. Danlami Babami, President KSCD YOCA, Nasiru Chiji andlicensed FIFA Agent, Honourable Babawo Mohammed Ahmed.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Mutunchi Football Academy, Auwal Yusuf commended the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai for creating an enabling environment for sports to thrive I the state.
He said that they are grateful to all those who have contributed to their success, stressing that without all the overwhelming support they have been getting, they wouldn’t have come this far.
Musa Yahaya won double honours as he was presented the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award as well as that of the Best Attacking Midfielder.
Babawo Daniel emerged (Most Enduring Player), Gambo Sanusi (Best Captain Ever), Ibrahim Suleiman Kwakwa (Most Skillfull Player), Murtala Bawa (Best Number 11), Saidu Musa (Best Number 10) and Moses John (Best Number 9).
Others are Mohammed Ladan (Best Number 8), Suleiman Abdullahi (Best Number 7), Yunusa Lamu (Best Libero), Aminu Lucky (Best Central Defender), Aliyu Abubakar (Best Defensive Midfielder), Zaidu Sanusi (Best Best Left Fullback) and Isa Musa (Best Fullback).
Kabiru Dengi emerged (Best Goalkeeper), Musa Yahaya (Highest Goal Scorer) after scoring 346 goals and the quartet of Aliyu Ibrahim, Michael Moses, Nafiyu Musa and Manir Ibrahim spotted as the Future Players of the academy.

In an interview with newsmen after the presentation, Chairman of Ganet Academy, Engineer Gana Sawa said he is learning from Mutunchi Academy, who have kept their flag flying for 10 years.
He said that he prays his academy too can survive and celebrate its 10th anniversary.
He wished them more success in years to come.
