Senior Pastor of The New Life Pastoral Centre, a.k.a New Life Assembly, Pastor Christopher Delvan Gwamna Ajiyat was honoured with the Award of Fellowship and Icon of Mentoring by the Institute of Mentoring and Career Coaching Nigeria (IMCCN).
Delivering his welcome address at occasion, Chairman Board of Fellows of the Institute, Mr. Dauda Ageni described Pastor Delvan as an Icon of Hope to the younger generation, adding that, bringing him on board fills a spiritual vacuum that will steer the Institute to a greater height.
Friends and family members who spoke about him in their various remarks, showers ecomium on a man they described as a mentor to the younger generation.
Director General of the Institute, Rotimi Matthew, in his Keynote address noted that the choice of Pastor Delvan for the Award and Investiture was carefully done considering his contribution in shaping the lives of many people beyond his immediate ministry.
He stressed that in seeking recommendations about the recipient, it was clear that has mentored innumerable people and have had great influence even on people he has never met.
Rotimi, further described him as “a quintessential man of God, a gentleman whose influence is beyond his ministry and respected by leaders in other sphere of life.”
He added that the Institute recognizes him as “an accomplished leader, administrator, a mentor per excellence, a tireless advocate of right standing with towering impact”.
In his response, the awardee,Pastor Delvan acknowledged the Institute for recognizing his effort, saying “it is a great honor and privilege to be involved in life coaching and mentoring.
According to him, “I take prime interest in people, because I have failed many times but I made it a life goal of making sure people coming up do not fail.”
“I do all I do casually but seriously with most influence and the award is a call to come up higher and be the salt and light of the world.” He added.
