In continuation of the study tour of some major Hajj Missions in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammed visited Indonesia Hajj Mission in Jeddah, where he harped on the need for closer collaboration between all Missions, particularly in the area of Information Communication Technology.
According to him, Hajj management will be better off and witness great improvements if Hajj managers share their experiences and information with a view to learn from one another.
This was contained in a statement signed by NAHCON’s Information Officer, Muhammad A. Musa (Danbaba) and made available to newsmen.
“My visit is to strengthen the ties between us. The two of us have a lot to learn from each other in terms of managing Hajj affairs, especially in terms of financial and operational service of Hajj,” he said. Barrister Abdullahi, however called for assistance from the Indonesia mission in the development of NAHCON’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) system, which he said is an area that greatly needs improvement.
In his remarks, the Head of Indonesia Hajj Mission, Dr Ahmed Dumyathy said his mission is encouraged to share and exchange information with Nigeria especially with the leadership for the benefit and in the service of the guests of Allah.  “We would like to build on the new friendship by sharing ideas, so that Hajj system can be improving. We therefore look forward to working together in the area of ICT expertise, in order to concretise this bright innovative idea,” he said.
