FORM YOUR PARTY, CDS TELLS BOKO HARAM

The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS)  Admiral Ola Saad Ibrahim has challenged the members  of Jamatul Ahlis Sunnah lid Daawa wal Jihad to form their political party if they felt so strong about their opinion and want to impose it on others.
The CDS who threw the challenge when he paid a courtesy call on Governor Kashim Shettima at the Government House Maiduguri yesterday said that instead of them to channel their time and resource in productive ventures, they were wasting it on bomb making and acquiring weapons.
He said “if you feel so strong about your opinion that you must impose it on other people, then form a political party “. He stated that he is shocked at what is happening in Borno, because he knew Borno as a peaceful state in the North-East and the country at large.
The defense boss said he was inspired by the level of cooperation and support the Borno state government was giving the security agencies in the state and assured the governor that they will continue to support and assist the government until peace is restored to the state.
In his remarks, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar who was on the entourage of the CDS said Governor Kashim should not be deterred by the security challenges in the state, as challenges are always conquered by men, adding that the insurgency in Borno will soon be a thing of the past.
He said the Federal Government was deploying more troops and equipment to the state to check mate the activities of terrorist that have held the state to ransom for some time, stressing that no society can develop where its citizens cannot carry out their busines and other social activities freely.
Responding, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state said that government addressing the root cause of the insurgency through job creation by sending youths to Thailand, Egypt, Togo and India for training in various agricultural  training so that they will impart what they aquired to others.
He said Borno was passing through the most challenging aspect in the annals of its history and that the state will come out stronger and us sun will shine again, adding that government is investing heavily on job creation that very soon all those nihilism and madness will evaporate naturally.
“The temporary eclipse that has over shadowed Borno will soon be over as the partial sun will soon be fully shinning, because the security challenges will soon be over and the state will regain its lost glory as “Home of Peace”, the governor stated.
Meanwhile, Major streets of Maiduguri the Borno state capital were blocked as a result of the Chief of Defense’ visit, as heavily armed military personnel were seen at strategic place in the state.
