Ejidike Vows To Reposition Karate Federation

As election into the boards of sports federations approaches, the president of the Karate Federation of Nigeria and a Pillar of Sports in the country, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike has said that he is poised to take karate to greater heights if returned as the helmsman of the federation.
In an exclusive interview with New Nigerian Sports, he said that the outgoing board under his leadership has moved the sport to a new level and will maintain the momentum to make karate one of the leading sports in the country.
According to him, the good relationship existing between the board and the Japanese Embassy has led to latter promising to supply equipment to the federation before the end of the year.
The Pillar of Sports further explained that the frequent championships organised by the federation is a testimony of the board’s determination to keep athletes in top form, noting that they have moved the sport to a better position than what it used to be some years ago.
On the calibre of people he expects on the coming board, the sports philanthropist canvassed for committed board members, who will be ready to serve and contribute their quota towards the development of the game.
