Just as some stakeholders and political opponents condemns the over 6,000 appointments by governor Ben Ayade, one of his aides on Corporate Services, Pastor Adie Clement Undiandeye, says it is healthy and commendable.
Undiandeye said “its imperative to understand the dynamics and the re-engineering efforts of the governor, Senator Ben Ayade, whose dynamism and focused repositioning of the economic fortunes of Cross River had propelled him to regenerate a new set of political and economic leaders to drive the vision”.
Also, he said, “the governor being aware of the imperatives of digitalization as a digital governor decided to propel his administration with the youths in consonance with the modern technology”.
He stated this in an exclusive interview with the New Nigerian Online Correspondent in Calabar.
He said Ayade had taken an extraordinary step that is inclusive and at the same time empowering
According to him “the administration of Ayade has given priority to this appointments and the industrialisation of the state.
These are his priorities, adding “let every Cross Riverian join hands with him to build a virile, viable and prosperous state”.
Former governors Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke had their priorities and they implemented them to the end.
Ayade, he said, “as a dynamic and digital youth has seen the need to empower the youths of Cross River more than any other administration. By so doing, he has set a record given the economic challenges in the country”.
Rather than criticising him, he called on every stakeholder and political opponents in the state to commend and acknowledge his ingenuity in managing the state lean resources”.
As a result of this development, ” I want to state categorically that his second term as governor of the state is assured, guaranteed and sealed, he said”.
While advising the critics of Ayade’s administration, he reminded them that that singular action of the governor has a spiral effect and had made governance accessable across the 18 local government areas.
On the ongoing campaign against his signature projects and signing of MOUs, he advised them to be patient as those projects would be enunciated and completed in the life of the administration.
He said ” from experience and from facts available, Ayade is going to surpass the previous administrations in terms of appointments, industrialisation and development of the state”.
All he needs, he added, is total cooperation and support so as to drive home his aspirations and dreams to reality”.
He, therefore, appealed to all stakeholders as well as political opponents to sheath their swords and rally round the governor for a better developed and industrialised state for our future generations.
Undiandeye however appealed to the governor to remain focussed and not allow critics to deter his developmental strides.
He said ” this is the set time. This is the appointed time for Cross Riverians to arise and shine and to participate fully in the governance of Cross River state.
