5 Kidnappers, 18 Armed Robbers In Police Net In Ibadan – CP

Five suspected kidnappers are now in police net in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital for allegedly kidnapping a 42- year- old woman.
Oyo State new Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Adekunle Odude who disclosed this while Parading the suspects at the Eleyele police command headquarters, also  paraded ‎18 suspected armed robbers
Addressing newsmen on Monday CP Odude hinted that the suspected kidnappers on February 25 at around 10:00 p.m., trailed the 42 –year-old woman from Ojoo to her residence in Akobo and abducted her to an undisclosed location in the forest area of Ogere, Ogun State, .
CP Odude gave the names of the arrested suspected. Kidnappers as Folorunso Aderopo (31), (an ex-convict who was released in August 2016), Taoreed Ibrahim, Wilfred Manger, Moshood, and Umar Amadu.
“They robbed her of her valuables including cash, jewelries and phone and later took her to an undisclosed location in the forest area of Ogere, Ogun State, where she was kept for two days thereby preventing her relations from contacting her. The victim was gagged and blindfolded and later the suspects contacted her family members for a ransom before she was released on Monday”he said.
The CP added that “based on intelligence gathering, we contacted our men in Lagos and the RRS arrested three of them in Lagos and my men also arrested four others in Ibadan”.
CP Odude listed items recovered from the‎ suspects as one Toyota Highlander, one Nokia phone, Samsung S5 phone, eight sim cards and one ATM card.
On the 18 suspected armed robbers,CP Odude said the arrested armed robbers specialized in car snatching and burglary in the state.
