1st ECOWAS Agriculture, Agro-Allied, Technology Exhibition to hold in Kaduna October 8

In line with the federal government commitment to its diversification policies towards enhancing the economy of the country, the private sector is poised to replace public resources for a more efficient substitute to shift from mono-product economy for stronger commitment toward Nigeria Economic Development.
To this end, the 1st ECOWAS Agriculture, Agro-Allied and Technology Exhibition has been scheduled for Friday,  7th October through Sunday, 16th October,  2016 at Kaduna International Trade and Investment Centre.
Briefing newsmen in Kaduna, Thursday, the Chairman, Alhaji Bawa Garba(ABG) said the exhibition would be an agricultural production and processing for self-sufficiency, poverty eradication and economic development, adding that it was planned on Nigeria’s agricultural policy, its problems and propects.
He said, it would be an avenue for an agriculture business round table discussion where policy makers, agriculturists, stakeholders shall discuss on issues with a view to identying missing links and advice the government accordingly.
He added that already sub-committees have been constituted and had started working relentlessly to ensure successful hosting of the international specialised agricultural exhibition.
Alhaji Bawa said the global exhibition was envisaging large turn out of local and international participants, stressing that more than 60 companies from West African countries, Europe, the Rice Farmers Association, Federation of Corporative Farmers of Nigeria, Agro-Input Dealers Association, among others had indicated their willingness to participate in the exhibition.
