The 1976 set of Alhudahuda College, Zaria Old boys have organized a reception in Honour of Alhaji Suleiman Hassan the newly sworn-in Minister of State of Power, Works and Housing of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at the reception, Governor Nasiru El-Rufai of Kaduna State through Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Andrew J. Knok said his administration is given education a priority.
Governor El-Rufai said, as they can bear witness their almamata is among the benefitting school chosen in the first phase of the structural development in which hundreds of millions of naira was expanded in the school renovation.
The Governor tasked the old boys to try as much and do something to show their appreciation and as a payback for other generation to enjoy the legacy of their seniors who passed through the school before they were even born.
In his message, the Emir of Zazzayu Alhaji Shehu Idris who was represented by Alhaji Umar Mijinyawa Makaman Zazzau said, the college have been progressing rapidly in academic and extra curricular activities.
Emir Idris charged the old boys not to relent in assisting the college in making it a point of example among other school old boys not in Kaduna State but the nation at large.
He congratulated the new Minister for his appointment and pray for his successful tenure with full health and courage in his new assignment.
Responding, the celebrant Honourable Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Alhaji Suleiman Hassan thanked the organizers of the reception in his honour and pledged to give his support towards promoting Alhuda-huda College Zaria to the greatest position.
Many dignitaries from all over Nigeria attended the reception particularly the Alhuda-huda College Old Boys 1976 Set.
