112 senior Naval officers promoted

The Navy Board has announced the elevation of 112 Senior Nigerian Naval officers to their various next ranks.
The promotion involved the elevation of 19 Commodores to the rank of Rear Admiral, 40 Navy Captains to the rank of Commodore, 33 Commanders were elevated to the rank of Captain and 20 Lieutenant Commanders to the rank of Commander.
A statement signed by the Director of Information Commodore Kabiru Aliyu stated that those promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral include Commodores PA Agba, SI Alade, BA Egbedina, NP Agholor, OP Ozojiofor, GA Anyankpele, LON Iwuoha, HO Ngonadi, HH Babalola, EG Ofik, SE Ogoigbe, JKZ Ango, and AA Osinowo.
Other Commodores elevated to the rank of Real Admiral are RO Osondu, A Johnson and AL Akintola.
In the Medical Branch, senior officers promoted to Rear Admirals are Surgeon Commodores AB Afolayan, TGS Epelle and AH Yusuf.
The newly promoted Rear Admirals will be decorated with their new ranks in Abuja at a date to be announced. The other senior officers will be decorated by their various Administrative Authorities.
